IMG_2156Our State Park looks great!

Last weekend over 60 volunteers enjoyed the perfect weather while collecting over 200 pounds of invasive plants and over 30 pounds of litter and recycling from the trails.  Whew – that was some well-earned cookies and coffee!

This week marked the beginning of Spring Field Trip season with a local elementary from Keizer exploring the waterfalls and temperate rainforest.  Field Trip Planning Guide

New South Falls Lodge Paintings Coming Soon!

Bearded Men at Work 3

Silver Falls has an exciting project in the works.  Artist-in-Resident, Peace, (black vest) has been creating new paintings this offseason for the South Falls Lodge …so it’s out with the old and in with the new.  Friends Park Interpreter, Matt Palmquist, (blue vest) gives him a much needed hand.

Check back here to see his final masterpieces – or better yet, make the trip to South Falls Lodge as soon as the paintings are re-framed and hung up!  Coming soon…
